We all have old photographs that we treasure, whether they are old family photographs
passed on from previous generations, or historic photographs of the homes and towns we
live in. But sometimes bad things happen to photos such as stains, rips and fading. Even
properly stored photos can succumb to the ravages of time. We are experts at digitally
restoring your most treasured photographs, leaving your originals untouched.
Through the use of digital methods, it is now possible to repair old photographs without
damaging the original. A good family snapshot can become a great old photograph by
simply fixing a few flaws. A genealogy photo can be greatly improved by our photo
enhancement process.
Image restoration or photo repair is always done by hand, using Photoshop Photo and
other photo restoration software.
During a typical digital photo restoration or photo enhance, we use a digital copy so your
original is never damaged. We always adjust contrast, sharpness, and color levels. We also
remove scratches and damaged areas. We do whatever is required to produce the best
possible results. We fully guarantee our photo restore and picture repair. Saying this, not all
photos can be successfully restored .
You can send your original photo by mail. If so, please insure. We will return the photo to
you using the same method you used to send it. Use a protective envelope or box and send
it by certified mail to us. Or scan it [300dpi to 600dpi] and e-mail it to us. Another method
is burn it to a CD and mail the CD. You can also make a copy print of your original photo
and mail it to us. Preferably do not send me the original if any other means is available.
If we feel you won't be happy with the improvements we can make, we will contact you
before beginning work, and if you wish, return your photo to you at no charge.
In addition to the enhancement of digital photos, we have been asked to restore damaged
family photos. Original photos are scanned and restored, reprints can then be ordered. The
original photo is returned to you in the same condition that we received it. Photos that may
be restored include those with faded color, faded black and white, dust spots, creases,
cracks and other imperfections. Something a lot of people like is old photographs with a
sepia tone, which of course we can do.
